Teatro Abya Yala
Adema's of Roxana Avila and David Korish, the Theater Abya Yala this' at the moment conformed by Andrea Go'mez, Oscar Gonza'lez, Navarrese Janko, Grettel Me'ndez and Rolando Courts; together they maintain two working forms - training and rehearsals - that which allows an integral, intense and personal development. From 1996, Theater Abya Yala has maintained three laboratories of training actoral and of theatrical investigacio'n: the first one of 1996 at 1997; the second of 1997 at the 2000; and the u'ltimo of the 2004 to the present. In the an~o 2000, Abya Yala carries out' the Central American Tour, offering shops, organizing cultural exchanges, and presenting especta'culos of Abya Yala. During the 2003 I organize' the Intensive Shop of Training Actoral, directed to 14 actors and actresses of the Central American regio'n to receive during 3 weeks intensive classes with Richard Armstrong, Tage Larsen and Luis of Tavira.
To rai'z of this is 7 videos that document the experience, interviews and each shop. These were donated to the theater schools and some cultural centers of the pai's, this way' like to each Central American pai's for gratuitous consultation. Theater Abya Yala has been rewarded with the National Prize to the best Theatrical Group in 1999, 2002 and 2006, this way' as the prize Aquileo J. Echeverri'a in dramaturgia in the 2002 for the work Waits for Ourselves. Their original work Sade, was Mencio'n of Honor of the prize Uchimura of the UNESCO in the 2001.
